We went down to Sand Key, FL March 9 through March 18, 2001. We stayed with Ed's parents who rented a condo there for 3 months. This year the weather wasn't quite as nice as last year but we still had a very good time.

On Sunday we went over to the beach across from where we were staying and played in the sand. We all helped build a sand castle and Becca and Aimee had fun playing down by the water. Cindy and Sam tried going to the beach another day but it was too windy. The sand was constantly blowing in their faces and it was not fun.

Monday night we all rode the trolley over to Clearwater Beach and went sailing for 2 hours. The kids had a good time moving all about the deck. It was a very windy day so most of the time was spent inside the bay area until it was close to sunset. We then ventured out into the gulf. The wind really picked up then and the sailboat really started to lean. The kids weren't sure whether they liked that. After awhile they got used to it and starting enjoying themselves again.
